Here are 10 tips that will show you how to Rank on Google

1.   Improve On-Site SEO

Now that search engines can crawl JavaScript, Flash, AJAX sites, etc., there’s no reason why page speed should prevent good rankings anymore. That means it’s time for businesses everywhere to optimize their websites so they not only look great but also load quickly!

You have a little bit of leeway when determining the loading time of your website – I would recommend keeping it under 2 seconds if possible. We all know how annoying it is when navigating around a slow website…there’s nothing worse than waiting for a page to load only to find out that it’s not even worth our time.

2.   Have Unique and Quality Content

This one is a no-brainer – if you want Google to rank you well, you need to have quality content on your website. Not only does this provide value for your users, but it also tells the search engine that your website is trustworthy and authoritative. So make sure you’re regularly adding new and original content to your site!

3.   Optimize Your Titles and Descriptions

Titles and descriptions are another important factors in SEO – they help give users an idea of what your page is about before they even click on it! Make sure that your titles are catchy and meaningful. Don’t forget to include your keywords but keep them natural – you don’t want Google to think that you’re trying too hard.

Also, make sure you always have a detailed meta description tag on every page of your website. This is content that’s visible on the search engine results page (don’t worry, it won’t be visible on your actual site). That being said, this is an opportunity for you to highlight what your business offers so make sure to use lots of enticing words here!

4.   Get Links from Other Websites

Social media sites are great platforms for businesses of all kinds, so take advantage of these sites if they apply to what you do! Facebook and Twitter are easy ways to share links with friends or followers, and the more people you have talking about/sharing your content, the better.

You can also try to get a blog on another site that’s related to yours. This way, if someone finds your blog post great, they might link back to it from their website – which will ultimately help improve your page rank with Google!

5.   Optimize Your Title Tags & Meta Descriptions

Optimize Your Title Tags & Meta Descriptions For Keywords Remember what I said about having unique and quality content? Well, this is where you do it…so make sure this stuff is good! Google considers title tags and meta descriptions as an opportunity for users to know exactly what your site offers so take advantage of this by making sure these are filled with keywords while keeping them natural). Also, don’t be afraid to give your website a little flavor – make it sound like you!

6.   Get Social (But Don’t Spam)

Another way to get Google to love you is by getting social on relevant sites. You can do this in two ways: 1)  by posting/tweeting/updating etc.. about your business 2)   by sharing articles, images, videos, etc… that are relevant to what you do

Google is paying attention when people discuss and share content online so if you’re active on Twitter or Facebook or any other site, don’t forget to post some stuff about yourself! People will check out your page and decide whether they want to follow/like/pin etc… you or not, so make sure you put your best foot forward.

7.   Add a Blog to Your Website

Having a blog on your website is a great way to show Google that you’re constantly adding new and original content. This tells the search engine that your site is active and up-to-date, which is always a good thing. Not to mention, blogs are a great way to engage with your audience and show them what you’re all about!

8.   Research Your Competition

If you want to stay ahead of the competition, it’s important to know what they’re doing. A great way to do this is by researching their website – take a look at their titles, meta descriptions, and blog posts. See what kind of keywords they’re targeting and try to incorporate some of those into your own site.

9.   Use Google’s Webmaster

Tools Google provides a suite of tools called “Webmaster Tools” that are designed to help you optimize your website for the search engine. This includes things like adding a sitemap, verifying your ownership of the site, and tracking your website’s traffic. It’s definitely worth taking advantage of these tools if you want to improve your SEO!

10.  Add Your Site to Google’s Search Console

Last but not least, Google’s Search Console is a great way to get information about how your website is performing in Google search results. This includes data like which keywords are bringing people to your site, how often your site appears in Google, click-through rates for your site, and more.
